MARCEL VOSLOO - YOGA TEACHER

"I found my love for yoga while sailing and scuba diving all corners of the world, but after 15 years of traveling, all roads led me back to Namibia where I started a new journey that I want to share with you! I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in Namibia, and traveled extensively through other African countries, and trust me when I say - “You are in good hands and in for an adventure on any of my yoga holidays”. I have done the research, the traveling and I also worked as a travel consultant in Namibia, selling various safari tours in Southern Africa and applying what I’ve learned to my own yoga safari’s. If you want to see and experience the best that Namibia or any other Southern or Eastern African Countries has to offer, where days are filled with mindful yoga flows, you have landed yourself at the right place. Even though initially taught in Ashtanga yoga, I’ve developed a deep understanding over the years of more mindful and calm practices out in nature, which I also apply on all of my trips - these yoga holidays are about you, connecting with yourself on a deeper level out in nature and having an adventure of a life time. It’s a fun and non-competitive environment, making it a peaceful healing space for anyone joining."

MEALS

Savor nourishing vegan and vegetarian meals thoughtfully designed to elevate your well-being throughout your retreat. Each dish is freshly prepared using locally sourced, organic ingredients, carefully crafted to energize your body and soothe your mind. From colorful, vibrant salads to hearty, wholesome dishes, every meal is a celebration of plant-based goodness, nourishing both body and soul.

YOGA

The yoga sessions will offer a harmonious blend of yin, slow flows, vinyasa flows, and hatha-inspired practices, enhanced by breathwork and a variety of guided meditations. Each session will take place outdoors, surrounded by breathtaking views, allowing you to connect with nature as you deepen your practice.

NATIONAL PARKS

Matobo National Park: A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe, renowned for its dramatic granite formations and ancient rock art. The park's extraordinary landscape of balancing rocks, wooded valleys, and rugged hills creates a stunning setting for outdoor adventures. Steeped in history and wildlife, Matobo is home to rhinos, leopards, and an impressive array of birdlife, including the highest concentration of Verreaux’s eagles in the world.

Hwange National Park: Zimbabwe’s largest and most diverse wildlife sanctuary, famed for its sweeping savannahs and rich biodiversity. The park is home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, along with lions, leopards, giraffes, and over 400 species of birds. Hwange's numerous watering holes attract a diverse range of animals, offering unparalleled game viewing opportunities. With its varied landscapes of open plains, woodlands, and wetlands, Hwange delivers an authentic safari experience, combining spectacular wildlife encounters with Zimbabwe’s untouched natural beauty.
